The Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) recently released P10,000 and P500 commemorative coins to mark the 70th year of central banking in the country.
The commemorative 70th year gold and silver coins and the 25th anniversary silver coins are now on sale. BSP made the announcement Friday on their Facebook page.
Those interested may place their orders by sending an email to email@example.com. Orders should be placed not later than Jan. 15, 2010. To claim and pay for your order, one can go to the nearest BSP branch.
The BSP reminded those who plan to order to give their full contact details (contact number and email address) for their orders to be approved. “Incomplete detail requirements shall invalidate your orders,” the post reads.
For payment and pick-up of orders the BSP gave the following instructions:
1) Approved orders shall be notified through confirmation email with an indicated schedule for payment and pick-up.
2) Due to the high value of commemorative coins, cash payment and pick-up schedule shall be from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the nearest BSP branch indicated upon placement of order.
3) An authorized representative may be assigned to purchase the commemorative coins on behalf of the buyer upon presentation of an authorization letter, I.D., and confirmation email.
4) The order shall be forfeited if the commemorative coins remain unclaimed two (2) weeks after the scheduled date of pick-up. Thereafter, the coins shall be offered to the public on a “first come, first served” basis. The public are also entitled to buy only one piece per commemorative coin.
