Meralco won the citation for its pioneering use of Talent Resourcing Automated Communication and Information (TRACI), a recruitment chatbot that enables applicants to view job vacancies and submit job applications thru Facebook Messenger. TRACI helps Meralco’s Talent Resourcing team to harvest potential applicants without demanding more manpower, since the chatbot technology can instantly answer an applicant’s questions. It also accepts applications and displays notifications on application status updates for ease in communication and immediate feedback.

The “Talent Accelerator of the Year” award is reflective of Meralco’s culture that cultivates the passion to explore, learn something new, and get motivation from knowing that the initiative was a game-changer in the talent recruitment industry. TRACI is in line with the company’s initiative to optimize and streamline the job application process and simultaneously establish an additional medium for engagement.

The increase in usage of TRACI not only covers fresh graduates and skilled workers, but also of middle managers and specialists, indicating the successful use of its implementation of the innovative technology to handle Meralco’s volume of applicants.
