The homegrown fast-food chain finally opened its first branch in Circle Square, Macau on Thursday.
News channel TDM Canal Macau reported that many people, mostly Filipinos, started to line up as early as 7 a.m. The Jollibee mascot was also present to cheer the people lining up.
One Pinay, in an interview with TDM Canal Macau, said that with Jollibee’s opening in Macau, she will no longer have to go to Hong Kong just to get a taste of home.
Earlier this year, the country’s largest fast-food chain opened its first store in Milan, Italy, and added another branch in Canada. (Janelle Lorzano)
