PEZA okays P2.4-B medical tourism zone

TOYOTA INVESTS R5.2 BILLION IN CARS – Toyota Motor Philippines Corporation (TMP) has invested R5.2 billion for the Comprehensive Automotive Resurgence Strategy (CARS) program. The increase in investment follows the company’s decision to put up a state-of-the-art plastic injection facility in its Santa Rosa plant, expansion of its press parts facility, and the introduction of new hemming technology. The Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA) has approved Centurial Medical Development Corp. for its P2.49 billion medical tourism facility, which houses 200 specialty clinics so far at Century City in Kalayaan, Makati.

PEZA Director-General Charito B. Plaza said Centurial Medial Makati is the largest outpatient medical facility in the country. It had a soft opening in June and was inaugurated last month, September.

Based on its website, Centuria Medical Makati is a one stop, outpatient medical-IT facility located at the heart of Century City, Makati, Philippines, which will house more than 700 clinics.

As a techno medical institution, Centuria Medical Makati aims to provide an efficient clinic environment for doctors and equally, hassle free patient‐centered services to all guests. All these, plus a modern carefully designed interior space, contribute to the unique and holistic healing experience within the building.

The facility aims to become the premier outpatient center for global health and wellness in the Philippines – transforming lives, enhancing ideals, and taking healthcare delivery into the new Century.

It seeks to provide doctor-partners with a venue to optimize the business potential of their practice by making Centuria Medical Makati a strongly-IT driven facility with access to emerging international markets and a high patient catchment area.

Centuria Medical is owned by Century Properties Group Inc. is part of the company’s thrust of building its commercial leasing portfolio and diversifying its recurring income revenue streams.

Aside from the targetted 700 specialty clinics, office suites and support facilities, the 28-story medical facility will also feature 18 commercial spaces for dining, and wellness and pharmacy outlets.
