A winning bid for having the highest amount offered, was formally declared by the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corporation (PSALM) for the decommissioned 850-megawatt Sucat thermal power facility that was divested on a scrap mode or “as is, where is” basis.
The company said Riverbend Consolidated Mining Corporation tendered the highest bid, but any final announcement and contract award would have to go through post-qualification process first.
According to PSALM Officer-in-charge Lourdes S. Alzona, the company bested the two other bidders with its purchase offer of P305.2 million.
Offers from the two other parties had been P201.6 million for VPD Trading; and P168 million for Bonapor Metal Contractor Company.
